Reading Goal

Reading achievement will increase to 100% as measured by the State End of Grade Tests 3-5 and mClass Reading 3D K-2 (Walter L. Parsley Elementary School, 2015).

Strategy:	Strategy: Establish School-Community Relations to support reading achievement
	Action Steps:
	1. Establish the needs of the school using previous year’s reading data
	2. Develop a process to increase parental involvement at home
	3. Develop a process to increase parental and community involvement during the school day.

Parental and community involvement studies that were reviewed by Henderson and Maps (2002) revealed that high levels of involvement significantly impacted the rise in standardized test scores and overall grade point average (p. 24).
